The bench has been though as sort of non-designed object. The intention was to exalt the materiality instead of a extremely researched design. The statuary wooden bases are made using the technique of Yakisugi: the wood is burned removing all the excess material and revealing the wood structure to its core. The irregular geometry of the burned wood dialogues with a geometrical casted glass slab, of which the texture reminds of warm ice. The simplicity of this piece is fooling you, the closer you'll get the more interesting it gets.
